"In the 110th Congress, the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure will actively review the activities of government entities under its jurisdiction. The Committee will provide oversight to ensure that these agencies implement the laws, programs, and policies within the Committee's jurisdiction in a manner that is consistent with statutory intent. As appropriate, the Committee will also investigate ways to improve the overall operation of such agencies and eliminate waste or fraud."
