Bicycle Sharing Programs in Relation to Urban Transit

Studies the extent to which a bicycle sharing program is used in combination with urban transit or as a self-standing mode in The Hague, Netherlands. Finds that bicycle sharing is generally not used to complement urban transit but as a substitute, principally because distances in the city are relatively short, and people specifically use the bicycle sharing instead of transit because it is faster or cheaper.
