E-Scooter and Micromobility Safety Webinar Series: Part 1- Research, Tools, and Guidance
Mar 05, 2024
Cities and towns across the country are planning for and adapting to multiple forms of micromobility, including e-scooters, as this mobility mode proves to endure as a safe and convenient mode for many. Understanding more about current issues, implementation, and management, can help shape collective safety efforts. In the first episode of this two-part webinar series, panelists will share findings from research on e-scooter safety and present tools and resources that communities can use to develop their own programs. Panelists from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will showcase Federal resources and funding opportunities to support local micromobility programs. In the second episode of the series, panelists from US cities (Washington, D.C.; Denver, CO; and Portland, OR) will share their experiences and lessons learned in managing local e-scooter and micromobility programs. Following their presentations, panelists in both episodes will participate in a facilitated discussion and respond to questions from attendees.
