To assist communities seeking to develop effective pedestrian and bicycle facilities, the Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center, with support from the Federal Highway Administration, has developed "Pedestrian and Bicycle Data Collection in United States Communities: Quantifying Use, Surveying, Users, and Documenting Facility Extent."

This report examines 27 communities' activities to collect, analyze, and apply pedestrian and bicycle data. The case study approach taken in this report allows users to compare options appropriate to their communities. (January 2005, 205 pages)
