Pedestrian Safety Curriculum

This education program incorporates physical education, health, and social responsibility. The goal is to provide students with the background information and hands on practice to safely walk on urban streets, be able to choose appropriate routes for walking, and know how to recognize and respond to an unsafe situation.
The first lesson is comprised of in class activities in preparation for going on an actual walk-about. The second lesson is the actual walk-about. The students practice tools for being safe pedestrians in their school andneighborhood.
