A landmark interagency framework of strategies and actions to remove all greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector by 2050. Each department will create and implement more detailed decarbonization action plans in cooperation with state, local, and tribal governments, philanthropic organizations, the private sector, and global partners. They will also increase investments in safe infrastructure for active transportation options such as walking, biking, and shared micromobility options, change land use planning and transportation systems design to plan for all road users, and encourage more people to use active transportation.
