The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) released a new version of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Crash Analysis Tool (PBCAT), an open-access, web-based crash typing application to help improve understanding of crashes between motorists and pedestrians or bicyclists and develop new variables to describe collisions. PBCAT 3 allows users to develop a database of crash information, from which to analyze data, create reports, and select countermeasures. The new version considers micromobility.
