Accessible Pedestrian Signals

Accessible Pedestrian Signals provide audible and tactile information about pedestrian signals to those who are blind or visually impaired.
This session will focus on how to design APS installations and how to design intersection corners to provide important information to those who need it most. Topics will include methods of travel by blind or low-vision pedestrians, current ADA and MUTCD standards, installation and design guidance for APS, and design exercises.
